Music
At Oakfield School, we offer music education in a variety of ways. The school’s dedicated Music Suite is open to pupils before school, during break and lunchtimes, and weekly rewards. Additionally, pupils can access instrumental guitar, bass, drums and piano lessons in weekly lessons delivered by external providers. The lessons are top-rated and there is often a short waiting list.
The Music Suite is well-resourced with piano, organ, drum kit, numerous guitars, amplification, PA system, percussion and ukuleles.
Pupils showing real talent are encouraged to apply for the Yorkshire Young Musicians scheme, which allows young people to further their studies during weekend activities.
