{"id":6978,"date":"2024-03-01T12:01:25","date_gmt":"2024-03-01T12:01:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oakfieldhull.co.uk\/?page_id=6978"},"modified":"2024-10-15T10:00:41","modified_gmt":"2024-10-15T10:00:41","slug":"school-nurse","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.oakfieldhull.co.uk\/index.php\/school-nurse\/","title":{"rendered":"School Nurse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of our schools PSHE curriculum, and in line with statutory government guidance, pupils may receive intervention on Relationships and Sex Education during their time at Oakfield<\/p>\n<p>The education is based on national guidance and the JIGSAW PSHE programme already in the school\u2019s curriculum and is delivered by the Public Health Programmes Team (School Nurses).<\/p>\n<p>The lessons will cover the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What happens during puberty<\/li>\n<li>The body changes that occur during puberty.<\/li>\n<li>The female reproductive organs and what happens during a period (menstruation) and products to\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 use.<\/li>\n<li>The male reproductive organs including wet dreams and erections and how to manage both.<\/li>\n<li>Consent and keeping ourselves safe<\/li>\n<li>The importance of practicing good personal hygiene<\/li>\n<li>Relationship stages, sexual relationships and consent<\/li>\n<li>Human reproduction in the context of the human life cycle<\/li>\n<li>How a baby is made and grows<\/li>\n<li>Where to go for help and support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The School Nursing Team also provide targeted nursing support, a referral is required.
